The Key to Successful Equitable Access: Building Consensus
OVERVIEW
Administrators from East Carolina University and Northern Virginia Community College joined us for an in-depth discussion on their recent experiences implementing the First Day® Complete equitable access program. This webinar, The Key to Successful Equitable Access: Building Consensus, is now available on demand.
Panel members discussed their integral role in building campus consensus and the implementation process for each of their institutions. The discussion highlighted three key best practices for successfully implementing equitable access.
1. Building consensus on campus with campus stakeholders
2. Creating an on-campus project lead to guide the implementation process
3. Communicating about the program with students, families and faculty
With BNC, these institutions have been able to successfully gain campus support for equitable access, seamlessly implement First Day® Complete, and effectively communicate with students, parents and faculty.
“All the resources that were available from [BNC], whether templates for communication, marketing materials, or just the process we followed with the steps, deadlines, and a timeframe, were really a huge help,” said Bill Koch, Associate Vice Chancellor Campus Safety and Auxiliary Services, East Carolina University.
BNC First Day® Complete equitable access removes barriers from higher education by improving access to course materials, affordability, and convenience while driving better academic outcomes for students and faculty.
